CALAMONDIN
Citrus trees adapt well to our indoor conditions as long as they get sun, heat, and humidity. Their lustrous green foliage will appreciate being sprayed regularly, especially during the winter period.
CARE
Citrus fruits love moisture. They should be watered when the soil dries out slightly on the surface, without it being soggy, which could cause the roots to rot. Watering is therefore more frequent than for the majority of indoor plants. If their leaves turn yellow or fall off, it is because the watering is incorrect or insufficient. Finally, to be happy indoors, citrus trees need bright light, even direct sun.
Be sure to carefully assess the watering needs of your plant when you take possession of it. Before watering it for the first time, check the moisture level of the soil to determine if it is moist or not near the surface. It is also preferable to aerate the soil before watering it the very first time, as the soil is often compressed to avoid movement during transport. This therefore allows the soil to breathe and release its moisture.
Rotate your plant periodically to promote even growth. Clean the foliage regularly so that it can photosynthesize. While dusting the leaves, inspect them on both sides and watch for insects.
