The Calliandra is a beautiful tropical shrub known for its spectacular powder-puff flowers made up of numerous fine, silky stamens. Depending on the variety, flowers can appear in different shades of pink, red, white, and other delicate tones. Its fine, elegant foliage combined with its distinctive blooms gives the plant a light and exotic appearance.

Light:

Thrives in very bright light and enjoys several hours of direct sunlight each day. Excellent lighting encourages strong growth and abundant flowering. 

Water:
Water thoroughly when the top few inches of soil begin to dry. Keep the soil slightly moist during the active growing season, but avoid keeping it constantly waterlogged. Reduce watering during the winter months.

Appreciates moderate to high humidity but can adapt to normal conditions when provided with plenty of light.

Calliandra is especially loved for its beautiful powder-puff blooms that give the plant its distinctive appearance. Under the right conditions, some varieties can bloom multiple times and attract pollinators when placed outdoors during the warmer months.
