The Disocactus anguliger, commonly known as the Zig Zag Cactus or Fishbone Cactus, is a striking tropical cactus known for its long, flat stems with deeply cut edges that create a distinctive zigzag pattern. Its cascading, graphic growth makes it a beautiful choice for a hanging planter or an elevated spot where its unique stems can be fully displayed.

Light:

Thrives in bright, indirect light. It can tolerate some gentle morning or late-afternoon sun, but avoid intense direct sunlight.

Water:
Water when the top few inches of soil are dry. Unlike desert cacti, it prefers slightly more moisture while still requiring well-draining soil. Reduce watering during the winter months.

Prefers moderate to high humidity. As a tropical cactus, it appreciates more humidity than traditional desert cacti. 

Good to know:

With good lighting and once mature, the Zig Zag Cactus can produce beautiful, large, fragrant flowers, typically white to creamy in color, adding even more interest to this already spectacular plant.
