Light:

Prefers medium to bright, indirect light. Variegated and highly colored varieties generally appreciate brighter conditions to maintain their distinctive coloration. Avoid intense direct sunlight through a window. 

Water:
Water when the top few inches of soil begin to dry. Ivy prefers slightly moist but well-draining soil. Avoid both overwatering and allowing the root ball to remain completely dry for extended periods. 

Appreciates moderate to high humidity and good air circulation. Ivy generally prefers slightly cooler conditions rather than very hot, dry environments.

Ivy can be grown as a trailing plant, climbing plant, or trained onto a support. Regular pruning encourages a denser and fuller appearance. Different varieties can vary considerably in growth rate, leaf shape, and coloration.
