Light:

Thrives in bright, indirect light. Excellent lighting encourages healthy growth and may promote flowering. Some gentle morning or late-afternoon sunlight can be beneficial.

Water:
Allow a good portion of the soil to dry between waterings. Hoya’s thick leaves allow the plant to store some water. Avoid overwatering and always use a well-draining growing medium.

Appreciates moderate to high humidity, although many varieties adapt very well to normal household conditions.

Good to know:

Hoyas are especially loved for their waxy, star-shaped flowers, which are often fragrant. Flowering depends on the variety, maturity, and growing conditions. Some plants may take a few years to bloom.
