Monstera Thai Constellation is a spectacular tropical plant known for its large green leaves beautifully scattered with creamy-white variegation. Its distinctive speckled pattern resembles a constellation of stars, inspiring the name “Thai Constellation.”

As it matures, its leaves become larger and develop the beautiful natural splits and holes characteristic of Monstera. A natural climber, it benefits from a stake or moss pole to encourage upright growth and larger, more mature foliage.

Light:

Prefers bright, indirect light. It can tolerate medium light, but brighter conditions encourage stronger growth, fuller foliage, and beautiful colouring. Avoid intense direct sunlight, which can scorch the leaves.

Water:
Allow the top few centimeters of soil to dry between waterings. Water thoroughly and allow excess water to drain. Avoid keeping the growing medium constantly wet, as Philodendrons are sensitive to overwatering and root rot.

Appreciates moderate to high humidity but generally adapts well to normal household conditions. Avoid very dry locations and direct sources of heat.

Good to know:

Despite sometimes being sold under the name “Philodendron Monstera Thai,” this plant is not a Philodendron. It is a variegated Monstera deliciosa. Thai Constellation is especially recognized for its creamy, speckled and marbled variegation distributed throughout the foliage. Young leaves may have few or no fenestrations, which generally become more developed as the plant matures.
