Philodendron Birkin is a beautiful compact tropical plant known for its dark green foliage decorated with fine creamy-white pinstripes. Each new leaf develops its own individual pattern, giving every plant a unique and elegant appearance.

Its upright, compact growth habit makes it an excellent choice for desks, shelves, and modern indoor spaces.

Light:

Prefers bright, indirect light. It can tolerate medium light, but brighter conditions encourage stronger growth, fuller foliage, and beautiful colouring. Avoid intense direct sunlight, which can scorch the leaves.

Water:
Allow the top few centimeters of soil to dry between waterings. Water thoroughly and allow excess water to drain. Avoid keeping the growing medium constantly wet, as Philodendrons are sensitive to overwatering and root rot.

Appreciates moderate to high humidity but generally adapts well to normal household conditions. Avoid very dry locations and direct sources of heat.

Good to know:

Birkin's variegation is naturally variable. Some new leaves may develop extensive white pinstriping, while others may emerge greener. It can also occasionally produce almost entirely green leaves through a process known as reversion.
