Philodendron Tortum is a spectacular tropical plant with exceptionally fine and sculptural foliage. Its deeply divided leaves form long, narrow, slightly twisted segments, giving the plant an airy, almost feather-like appearance.

Its unusual foliage makes it an excellent choice for Philodendron lovers looking for something distinctly different from traditional broad-leaf varieties.

Light:

Prefers bright, indirect light. It can tolerate medium light, but brighter conditions encourage stronger growth, fuller foliage, and beautiful colouring. Avoid intense direct sunlight, which can scorch the leaves.

Water:
Allow the top few centimeters of soil to dry between waterings. Water thoroughly and allow excess water to drain. Avoid keeping the growing medium constantly wet, as Philodendrons are sensitive to overwatering and root rot.

Appreciates moderate to high humidity but generally adapts well to normal household conditions. Avoid very dry locations and direct sources of heat.

Good to know:

Tortum is distinguished by its extremely divided foliage, which can almost resemble palm leaves. New leaves emerge tightly curled and gradually unfurl to reveal their fine, intricate shape. It has a climbing growth habit and can benefit from a stake or moss pole as it matures.
