Rhipsalis is a tropical trailing cactus prized for its unusual cascading stems and light, architectural appearance. Unlike desert cacti, Rhipsalis naturally grows in tropical environments and appreciates filtered light and slightly higher humidity.

This assortment may include Rhipsalis baccifera, Rhipsalis cereuscula, and Rhipsalis pilocarpa, Hatiora as well as other similar varieties depending on availability.

Light:

Prefers bright, indirect light. It tolerates medium light, but brighter conditions encourage fuller growth and may promote flowering. Avoid intense direct sunlight.

Water:
Allow the top few centimeters of soil to dry between waterings. Water thoroughly and allow excess water to drain. Unlike desert cacti, Rhipsalis prefers not to remain completely dry for extended periods.

Appreciates moderate to high humidity and generally adapts well to normal household conditions.

Good to know:

The varieties are primarily distinguished by their stems. Rhipsalis baccifera develops long, slender cascading stems; Rhipsalis cereuscula has numerous small cylindrical branches that create a fuller appearance; and Rhipsalis pilocarpa has slightly hairy stems and can produce small white flowers followed by decorative fruits.
