Scindapsus treubii is a beautiful tropical climbing plant known for its thick, elongated, slightly glossy leaves. Depending on the variety, its foliage can range from deep green to nearly black or display beautiful grey-green and silvery tones.

Its thick, elegant foliage gives it a more structured appearance than Scindapsus pictus. It can be grown trailing but is especially attractive when trained to climb a stake or support.

Light:

Prefers bright, indirect light. It tolerates medium light, but brighter conditions encourage stronger growth and attractive foliage colour. Avoid intense direct sunlight.

Water:
Allow the top few centimeters of soil to dry between waterings. Water thoroughly and allow excess water to drain. Its relatively thick leaves allow it to tolerate some drying between waterings.

Appreciates moderate to high humidity but generally adapts well to normal household conditions.

Good to know:

Scindapsus treubii differs from Scindapsus pictus. Its leaves are generally thicker, longer, and less heart-shaped. Two of the best-known cultivars are ‘Moonlight’, with silvery grey-green foliage, and ‘Dark Form’, with much darker foliage.
